The 'Music' Thread...

Post by Ip Lockard on Mon Aug 11, 2008 6:54 pm

This is both because I'm bored, and because it's always nice to have some more involvement :)I'm getting the urge for some new music, but I've got absolutely everything that I can think of.
Which is where you come in!
Anyone looking for some musical recommendations, post here with a few Genre's and 10 Artists, and let the rest of eUK provide the ear food!I'm listening to a lot of Progressive Rock, Nu Metal and Hair Metal at the moment (1.5 hr commute, radio sucks...)

Top 10 artists in my playlist are:

Muse
Rise Against
Nine Inch Nails
Incubus
Coheed and Cambria
System of a Down
Reuben
Foo Fighters
Disturbed
Rage against the Machine.

Go!

Feel free to also use this thread to generally bash my musical taste, or discuss your own.

Hrm, not a bad list. I was always more in tune with multiple types of music all at once.

I think if I had to place top ten they'd be:

1. Beastie
2. Tupac
3. Older Metallica
4. Blake Shelton
5. Rage
6. Usher
7. 50-60's music (just to throw things for a loop)
8. Too Short
9. Kenny Chesney
10. Bon Jovi

I listen to bit older stuff for most artists, but try to mix in current hits from time to time.

For some reason, I've fallen in love with "Take a Bow - Rhianna". I have no idea why. Heard it once, keep wanting to hear it now.

TTP -

We overlap a LOT! I must have albums by most of those...

Feeder, Ash (Older > Newer for both), Mutemath, Everclear, Weezer are my top suggestions.

Top Tip - If you want something laid back - Seasick Steve!
It's an old guy with a guitar(usually with 3 or less strings) singing folk-style songs, pretty damn awesome.
