NFL Fans?

Post by Dishmcds on Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:50 pm

So, I am a big Broncos fan being from Denver (if anyone saw the game Sunday it was awesome, even though the refs made a couple mistakes). I also liked the Barry Sanders-Lions and Marino-led Fins. Any others?

Stop spamming our thread you two lol. I'm a big Packers fan, really feeling confident about this year, Rodgers looks poised, great out of the pocket, accurate, I think he'll be a great quarterback, I definitely think we'll win our division.

I think the Broncos will do well this year, Cutler is looking great.

Ah good, another Green Bay fan!

That game yesterday. Terrifying! OK, we crushed the Lions in the first half, & then most of the 4th quarter, but some how we actually let them take the lead! I am getting scared by Mike McCarthy's playcalling, he just seems to go ultra-conservative, and we go 3 & out, and it repeats until the opposition are biting us on the ass and we go back into top gear again. Moral of the story? Stop changing the damn gameplan because your alternative gameplan failed against Minnesota & it failed against Detroit.

And he kept on running Ryan Grant, despite him being no where near full fitness, and being in obviously poor form. I really have never felt so disappointed after such a convincing victory before!

GB is going to seriously have their hands full against Dallas. Their D is what saved the game against the Lions (that, and Kitna sucks), but I wouldnt expect Romo and CO to make those mistakes.

Thats much like what people said about the Broncos last week when we tore apart Oakland. That gave us the edge in odds (1.5 point spread), when in all reality we hadnt been tested at all. We'll see how Rodgers is prepared against Dallas.

I can't wait to see what Rodgers does against arguably the best team in the NFL at the moment. I agree Fork, we went 21 - 0 up and just took our foot off the gas so to speak.

It's a shame it's on like 1 in the morning but I'll sweet talk the mother and do all the washing up and hopefully she'll let me stay up. She didn't appreciate me waking her up during the Minnesota - GB game after shouting out lol.

Anyone going to the Wembley game this year?

Mon Cardinals.
Big fan and with how its went so far we will be on our way to the top Very Happy
I was suprised at Aaron Rogers performance, it thought it would be hard for him to fill the shoes of Brett Favre so early but it seems he's already done that and is gonna get even better, Might get to playoffs but dont think GB will make it to Superbowl this season but maybe next. Broncs are doing well better than what i thought they could achieve and look like a team that might go far this season. Not going to Wembley to see 2 Average teams Razz

Ill wait till they decide to come to Murryfield and hopefully bring the Cardinals with them.

I considered going for a while, but frankly it'll cost a lot of money for two teams I'm just really not fussed with. And you are only ever like to see Green Bay play abroad as the away side, and I'm happy with that. I'd rather head over to Lambeau anyway Smile

lotfire - No, Rice retired a couple of years ago now. And Favre is actually still playing, but he is now a Jet. Disappointing as was my favourite Packer from way back to when I started following the team in his first season with us but it is his own fault really. And I'm confident with A-Rod.

Wink All I'm saying is that so far, so good. I'm still pretty nervous about about the Dallas game, and that would be the case regardless of which QB was starting, Rodgers or Favre.

Unfortunately there seems to be a huge number of Packer fans not giving Aaron any credit so far. Which seems bizarre, but then I guess Brett is like a deity to these people.

Ryan at least looks to have potential. I wasnt sure about their decision to start him this year, but I suppose you have to start somewhere. Just dont want another Tim Couch debacle.

Don't have many other options at QB!
He looks good enough!

I'm excited obout our running game! We had a franchise record of 220yards from turner in the first game!
