Well I've got 4 GCSEs at A, A, A and A* so far and I'm taking another 6 at the end of this year as well as two AS courses.

I'm looking to take politics and business studies definitely, maybe chemistry and biology but not sure. Anyone taken Biology and/or Chemistry at A level? If so what was it like?

CHemistry is the hardest a level out there. I myself didnt take it but enough of my friends did. The second hardest is maths.

I've got an A* in Spanish (damn good one too, I got the highest writing mark in my school), and I got 100% in all three science exams in June, that counts as 25% of my final mark!

I want to do physics, chemistry, maths and further maths as AS's, I'm currently studying Spanish AS as part of a speed course. I'll do an A-level in that next year. I'll probably carry on everything else, without dropping anything. I'm doing a biochemical work experience at Imperial College in November, as well, and plan on studying a philosophy and physics course at uni... I've got my whole life figured out. Although I may find that I want something COMPLETELY different by the time I get there, that's what I'm passionate about at the moment.

Last year I did AS Economics, Politics, and Physics, and AS + A2 Maths. I dropped Economics at the end of the year 'cos it was rubbish. Now I'm doing A2 Politics and Physics, and AS + A2 Further Maths.

Physics is basically the same as it was at GCSE, but harder. Politics AS was reet interesting but the A2 is about American politics and it's really boring, given that I'm not American.

Maths is only the second hardest A level if you're not a natural mathematician. People who are could breeze A level maths.

I took Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Biology, German and Eng Lit to A level.

Friends agree that Chemistry is the hardest of the sciences (and possibly of all subjects) and Biology definitely the easiest.

I'm not a natural mathematician ^_^

I took English Lit, German, G&P and History through to full A level, though part of me now regrets not taking Irish.

Well I'll defo go for business and politics as well as biology. Not sure for my fourth AS. You guys with your tales about hard chemistry are putting me off Sad

BBB how come you're taking 5 ASs? Our 6th form only lets you take 4 as it's 'too much work' to do 5 and you'll get worse grades. Then you have to drop one and only take three A2s. But overall I'll have 6 ASs thanks to the two I'm taking this year. Which is great as it means more UCAS points for uni. I'd love to get Oxford or Cambridge but I doubt I'll get all As at A level, I'm clever but not that clever.

Chemistry is HARD.

I took: Physics (dropped after a year, useless tutor), Biology, Psychology and Computing.

The IT syllabus was a LOT easier than the computing one about 3 years ago - something to bear in mind if you only care about the grade.
