CD Drive is not working

I finally got myself an ipod and my CD drive stops working. It just won't read anything that I put in.

Any tips?

I already tried to uninstall it and let it get detected again. It got detected but is still faulty. Any other tricks that you guys might know?

hmm seems a lost case really. Open up the pc and check whther all cables are tight.
Otherwise just get a new one for a tenner.

I have next day service on location in my warranty apparently so I am going to do that.

If it doesn't work, get a DVD drive, they're cooler...then get some Emulation software and rip important DVDs to .iso files for backups (This is actually legal, as long as you don't distribute them)...then at least if it happens again, you can use important DVDs
