i use ESET NOD32 because it is exactly what i want, a free, no frills, virus checker without the firewall as most firewalls built in with virus checkers are kinda dodgy,
for my firewall program i use COMODO Firewall Professional, a free firewall program which is highly advanced for you computer techs, yet mere mortals like me can use it. It also comes with a virus checker as a bonus, and other handy features
also just to be safe i have Spybot Search and Destroy a free spyware program
i also occasionaly use Windows Defender

I am verry paranoid as you can see Very Happy

I use AVG because in my vast experience, any other program fucks up your computer. (Perhaps you don't realise this because you're not at a level in which to notice)

McAfee and Norton are the worst perpetrators of this. I always recommend to people that they completely remove them from their systems and use AVG.

At the end of the day 95% of the time it's the users fault they got a virus, it doesn't matter what software you're using, if you download something dodgy then that's it, you've got a virus.

picked "other", because I use none.

Common sense = best virus prevention.

I'm using Kaspersky. It only cost me ~25 bucks to get a licence and now I don't worry about viruses anymore. They simply avoid me.

Eset - never heard of it
Norton - annoying... makes my PC lag
McAffe - fine... can't say it anything bad, but I don't like it.
AVG - free version SUCKS! McAffe/Norton/Kaspersky always find something even after using it.
Trend Micro - didn't like it... takes ages to scan my PC.
