Fallout 3

Post by RomanSoldier on Sun Nov 30, 2008 1:20 am

hi =]

well basically..i thought id give a lil warning to those wanting this game

it freezes/glitches/and millions of bugs

i bought it on release day, you start inside a place called vault 101 great graphics good story line good gameplay

as soon as ur out of the vault u enter the waste land

u need to get into a city called megaton

freezes every single time i try to get in there, i changed cds same thing, start new game, same thing, deleted all my saves , same thing

went into their fourms and theres about 16-19 pages of spam of ppl complaining and errors,

thats just the ps3 section...theres 360 and pc forum too that is also spammed with about the same

Game producers Bethesda(ppl who made oblivion)

now its been about 3-4 weeks since i bought the game and iv iv gotten is

"hey dont worrie guys, we're working on a patch"
from the admin

yea not everyone who plays this game has problems..but some people like me cant even play the game=p pick up a copy and take ur chance if u really really want the game=p

P.S so far 9 ppl have complained their ps3's no longer work due to the game storing information that ruined everything on their ps3s having to send it back to sony

I've been playing Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 since before release(The perks of knowing someone who works in a store) and the only problem I had was a stringy graphical artefact once when an enemy noclipped itself through the floor.

The game itself is great, it looks like Bethesda took on board some of the critcism they deservedly got for the horror that was Oblivion. It's a shame they've simplified the SPECIAL system though.

It could be that you do not have the right graphics card or specifications.

iv got a ps3 =p it works fine with every single other game iv had, and fallout 3 had some download info for the firmware update already in the cd so ppl who wernt fully updated had their ps3s crash/not respond after it

also fallout3 doesnt even install anything from the disk like every single other ps3 game which also leads to the bad graphics with no AA on the ps3(everything looks very very rough)

and yea like i was saying not everyone has extreme problems just a warning =p that u might get problems like this

Thats the forum for ps3 issues=p(on fallout3 of course)

That's Sony being rubbish rather than Bethesda.
Not seen one problem on 360 or PC.

That actually reminds me, did anyone see the Playr review for Fallout 3. They actually said the PS3 version was dissapointing when compared with the 360 version.

Just to clarify that Playr were not the only ones to say the PS3 version is buggier

Re: Fallout 3

its not just a glitch or silly like bug, like..a body falls thru the floor, thses glitvhes are extreme..some guy walked into a house the npc locked the door and ran away..leaving him stuck and only way out was to start at another save=p

the random freezes are somtimes stuck with an area, since i couldnt get into megaton..i decided to explore a little, found about 7 places i cant go near/enter becuse the game freezes instantly, basicly the games a total rip off on ps3, since..they made the coding on pc porting it to 360 then ps3....WITHOUT any bug testing either...there was even a bug where if i was playing fallout 3 and my friend came online his message would pause the entire game untill the message at the top dissapears e.g (name) is now online, would stop the game for like 20-30 seconds every single time too.. =p
