Aussie's make the news in belgium

we rarely get news from the other side of the globe here in belgium, but when we do get it, it's always hilarious (like the party boy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm61svN4U5g )

This however is equally hilarious

Sidney. A Australian dad who punished his 5 year old son by letting him walk to school every day is a gigantic hit on facebood. Because his son Threw a apple to the bus driver, Sam Burt decided to wake his son every day before sunrise and let him walk to school on foot. The news made the front-page on all Australian newspapers and caused a strom of protest because many parents think he's raising his child irresponsibly. Although there are also ppl who can appreciate his approach. A few few though dads started the "Sam Burt Tough Love Appreciation and Support"-group on facebook.
They think that Sam's son doesn't understand the punishment now, but will later be grateful to his dad. Sam's populatiry has grown and there are even ppl saying that he should be awarded "father of the year"
