And learning about other people's stances on moral issues is important if we want to give people the opportunity to make their own decisions on such matters. Or we could just abort all babies, I mean, that would remove the necessity of learning 'crap'.If we only learnt practical shizz in school, life would be much less interesting.

there are lots of authors who are awesome, so perhaps the curriculum needs a little more variety

Shakespeare is nice, but anything that takes two paragraphs to say a sentence is wasting my time, especially when you need to reread the damn thing twenty times over just to get what that sentence actually is.

School should give you a wide curriculum so you can get a feel for what you like and/or are good at, and as you move up in academia you hone in it, maybe even specialise in it. Which is great if you're a scientific/engineery/computerising/mathematical kind of person. If you're not then at least it's something interesting to you before you start submerging into the job market.

I'm still at school and all that stuff that was on the first message is the stuff I'm learning now, but I enjoy school just for the chance to see my mates.

oh the social side I don't mind (tho it aint all gud) just sitting having to sit through rubbish.

I.E my ict teacher actually agrees that the system is a load of crap. R.S teacher could put more effort into it (then again that would make the lesson worse)

to me school seems to.....general.

learn random stuff and end up just wasting time getting some letters on a paper. I want to come out of school knowing stuff I'm gunna use. E.G for a job.

if we removed school=p..everyone in the UK would be completely retarded

School gives a full General of everything maths ect...so that u can choose what your best at and when u get pasted school and into college/uni u get to choose what your best at..which then leads to your job=p

I love how my Religious Education lessons have nothing to do with Christianity or religion in general. It's all 'abortion, euthanasia and life after death'. The exam papers say 'Name of Religious Tradition:' when they mean 'Name of Religion:'.
