Lol! Conservatives are still at 1 vote? Even "Other" have beaten them.

I'm hoping the people that voted BNP did it as a joke, but it's not funny. I'm all for free speech but the BNP scares me. If they ever took power I'm moving. Razz

I hadn't read any of the BNP's policies until now and there are the inklings of some surprisingly good ones in there. If they just dropped the whole race thing, climbed down on immigration and got a bit more realistic they could easily become the 4th party nationally.

I voted for Labour, I'm a Labour party member, and voted for Labour in our by-election, but please don't take that as a ringing endorsement of the Labour government, it has been a consistent dissapointment to me, but remains the lesser of evils.

The problem with democracy and free speech is that you can't choose which parties get voted for. Of course, if I could choose, everyone would vote Lib Dem.

I recognised Aycliffe(because I live there), I talked about Woodham and Greenfield, I told you I went to QE(Darlington, but still, close). You'd think you'd have already worked that out. Very Happy If that was the tipping point I'm surprised because there have been quite a few by-elections since Tony Blair's resignation, all of which were contested by labour(except that Howden one with David Davis.)

I had suspicions. So many Newtonians move away though so wasn't sure if you still lived here.

I have a term-time address now that I'm in Uni, but unlike some students I don't consider myself as having moved, since my financial stuff, medical stuff, electoral and census stuff all still say Aycliffe on them. And after this course I'll be doing another at Teesside, so it probably will for a long time yet.
